Popular local arts and information organisation, Information & Cultural Exchange (ICE) was a finalist in the 2003 Australia Post NSW/ACT Small Business Awards.
The Awards, which are supported by the Department of State and Regional Development and the State Chamber of Commerce, recognise and reward the professional excellence of small organisations, and the vital role these organisations play in the community.
Information & Cultural Exchange was a finalist in the Marketing category, which recognises outstanding achievement in marketing an organisation.
ICE Director Lena Nahlous said, ‘We are absolutely thrilled to have achieved a place as finalists in these prestigious Awards. It is wonderful to have achieved this level of recognition.’
The Information and Cultural Exchange, which has been operating since 1992, is a non-profit organisation that develops, resources and facilitates art, culture and information community projects in Western Sydney.
ICE produces Artfiles: the arts directory for Western Sydney, The Special Events Directory for NSW and The ACT and is currently establishing SWITCH multimedia and digital arts access centre. ICE also won the 2003 Western Sydney Industry Awards for Most Innovative Business Arts Partnership and was a finalist in the recent National Multicultural Marketing Awards.
Information & Cultural Exchange recently attended a Gala Awards Presentation Evening, where ICE’s work was recognised and as a finalist, received a Media Pack valued at $9,000.
