Connect OUT
This project will work across the Parramatta and Holroyd local government areas in 2007, delivering a series of targeted information technology training workshops. Connect Out will be reaching people who would otherwise not have access to IT training, like stay-at-home mothers, grandparent carers of children, culturally diverse communities in isolated areas, and people with disabilities.
The project kicks off with an IT employment skills training workshop for culturally diverse women called Women Work Together in partnership with The Parramatta College, held in Wentworthville.
Connect OUT will be developing an outreach training program that will utilise mobile IT (Information Technology) equipment, as well as existing computers at a range of Holroyd and Parramatta community venues and neighbourhood centres.

An important aspect of the project involves meeting with community based services to ascertain the needs of diverse communities across the areas, and developing targeted training in direct response to these needs.
